With TV show 'Laado –Veerpur Ki Mardaani' recently wrapping up Banarasi actor Siddharth Arora , who played Shaurya in the show, enjoyed a break in his hometown these days. Spending some quality time with his family, the ' Mukti Bandhan ' actor, talked about his recent show and the need for the TV Industry to get more organised. Siddharth is enjoying every moment of his stay in Banaras. "It is good that I am here during summers. Though it is quite hot, I am able to relish a lot of langda aam which is a speciality of Banaras. I am just crazy for mangoes and I am having lots of them. I don’t have to watch for the weight either as a game of tennis at the Banaras Hindu University court everyday is keeping me fit. And of course, Varanasi rejuvenates me," he said. What is also keeping the actor occupied is the daily night cricket matches he plays with his cousins at home. "When everyone goes off to sleep, we all just get started. We play with a tennis ball and hanker with each other for every single run. It is great fun. This is also the time to bond with each other and is a must activity for all of whenever I am at home," said Siddharth.Siddharth Arora out for a boat ride at a ghat in Varanasi (BCCL)Meanwhile, making the most of his short break, Siddharth recently when to Bandhavgarh National Park, in Madhya Pradesh. "I drove down with my friends to Bandhavgarh which is a ten-hour journey from Varanasi. Since I am a wildlife freak, I always wanted to visit this place. We had a great time and even spotted four-five tigers during our two-day stay there," said the actor excitedly.Though 'Laado 2' was not able to hold the audience's attention and wrapped up quickly, Siddharth, however, believes it was good for him. "As an actor it was a good opportunity for me but then certain things are not in your control. All one can do is to just perform. Personally I had a good experience. Before I came into the scene, there was a different story going on and after I joined the show there was a new twist to the story and to bring both these stories in sync was a challenge. Sometimes this sync happens beautifully, as it happened in the case of Balika Vadhu . Sometimes this transition doesn't work. As an actor, my job is very limited and I have no control over what is happening around me. Personally for me, the audience liked my work in the show," says Siddharth.Wary of doing infinite shows, the actor says, "Honestly I am looking forward to doing finite shows because if the shows are finite, then there is a set story line. Everyone knows where the story is heading, right from the writer, actors to the director. On the contrary, if the show is infinite and stretches for a long time then at times things go haywire."Talking about the recent intervention of Human Rights Commission for actors Jyoti Sharma and Pranav Misshra, who quit the show 'Aisi Deewangi' on grounds of inhuman treatment by the producer, Siddharth said, "This problem should be solved between the actors and the production house. No actor would want to create a mess in a good running show, similarly no producer would like to have problems with an actor, so it should be sorted out between the two parties. Working in a show is a long time commitment, it is kind of a marriage. You will have to make it work. TV is not like films, where there is a certain schedule and then its wrap up. At times television shows run for years, this can happen only if people are happy. There might be some differences, it happens even in a family, but these differences should not be blown out of proportion."The actor believes that a long-term solution to this lies in TV industry getting more organised. "Television industry, like any other industry, should have some regulations and norms. Every industry has stipulated working hours, with at least a weekly off from work. This is not the case with TV industry which has no fixed working hours. We, as actors have to do multiple things like going to the gym, taking proper diet and getting adequate sleep, so that we look good on camera. On top of it there is no fixed day off. If television is more organised then it can help it to flourish more," says Siddharth, who was also seen in shows like 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha 2', 'Krishna Kanhaiya'.
