Process to acquire buildings for KVT expansion to start soon

KVT chief executive officer Vishal Singh said: "A total of 296 buildings are identified to purchase for temple expansion project. Also, the process of purchasing will continue for building owners interested in selling their property for temple expansion. Notably, the board came into existence after the state cabinet's approval in June.The commissioner said, "Officials have been ordered to start the process of acquisition of unpurchased buildings. These decisions were taken in the first meeting of the board led by divisional commissioner Deepak Agarwal on Wednesday evening. VARANASI: The newly formed Sri Kashi Vishwanath Special Areas Development Board will start the process of acquiring identified buildings, which could not be purchased, for the expansion of Kashi Vishwanath temple and developing a corridor up to the Ganga.Also, the board ordered to appoint a consultant to finalise the design of the expansion project.
