VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to lay foundation of the ambitious Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project in Varanasi on the occasion of his birthday on September 17. Singh along with SSP Anand Kulkarni and a big band of officers took stock of the probable sites including Naraur village in view of the PM event, on Thursday. As per the initial intimation the PM is likely to reach Varanasi for a two-day stay on September 17.In view of the strong possibility of laying foundation of ambitious Kashi Vishwanath corridor project, the newly formed Kashi Vishwanath Special Area Development Board and Varanasi Development Authority finalised the process of pre-bidding at a meeting held on Thursday. He will also enjoy the short film on his childhood 'Chalo Jeete hai' along with 5,000 school children, on the occasion.District magistrate Surendra Singh confirmed possibility of the PM's arrival on September 17, although he said that official intimation and final itinerary in this regard is still awaited.
