lsquoAvenge deaths will send elder son to borderrsquo

VARANASI: “I am ready to send my elder son too to protect our borders, but first avenge the martyrdom of Ramesh,” said Shyam Narain, father of CRPF jawan Ramesh Yadav who died in Thursday’s terror attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama Amidst cries and slogans being raised against terrorists at his Tofapur village in Chaubeypur area, Shyam Narain was finding it difficult to hold back his tears.He said, his elder son Rajesh is a milkman but the entire family wanted to educate Ramesh so that he gets a government job.He had even mortgaged his land to educate Ramesh.Before getting recruited in CRPF three years ago, Ramesh was married to Renu and has a one and half year old son who has some problem in one leg.Renu fell unconscious when she was told about Ramesh’s demise.Whenever she gained conscious she just managed to say, “Before leaving home he (Ramesh) had asked me to take care of our son, parents and home as he was going to protect the country.”While her little son cried looking at everybody, relatives and villagers found it hard to console Renu.His mother said that before leaving back for work on February 12 Ramesh had promised that on returning in next vacation he will ensure proper treatment of his son.UP minister Anil Rajbhar reached Tofapur to console the family.He said chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to take proper care of the family.“Apart from prescribed financial and other assistance for the family of martyrs, the government will also discuss requirements of this family and try to fulfill them,”Rajbhar added.
