BJP eyes 8L victory margin for Modi

A series of poll campaign programmes like motorcycle rally, Kamal Sandesh Yatra and Kamaldeep Utsav were held during this period,” said president of Kashi Kshetra, Mahesh Chandra Srivastava, adding that the party intends to score a huge victory margin in Varanasi. “As we have already done our homework before the announcement of candidate’s name and workers are very enthusiastic over the candidature of Modi, we have linked their (workers) enthusiasm with poll preparations,” said MLC Ashok Dhawan, who was poll manager for Modi in 2014.

Varanasi: With the formal announcement of the name of incumbent MP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as party candidate for Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi, the party has geared up to make it a ‘big win with a victory margin of eight lakh votes’.No other political party has so far announced its candidate from Varanasi, while BSP would not be fielding its candidate as the seat has gone to SP after their alliance.“We will make it a big win. Our effort is to increase the victory margin in Varanasi, which was 3.71 lakh votes in 2014 election, up to eight lakh votes this time,” claimed BJP district president Hansraj Vishwakarma.In order to achieve this target, BJP workers are all set to give up their personal engagements for household work till the polling day.“We have made up our mind that domestic work would be done after polling and till then we would invest all energy for better poll result,” he added.According to him, teams of party workers are ready to take up the challenge.
