Youth killed in celebratory firing in Chandauli district

VARANASI: A 28-year-old youth was killed in celebratory firing during a marriage function at Sahipur village in Ballua police station area in Chandauli district on Sunday night. Besides local natives people from nearby villages also gathered there to enjoy orchestra.During function Dinesh started celebratory firing with his gun. The accused was absconding.According to reports, an orchestra was organised in a marriage ceremony of the nephew of a local resident Dinesh Singh . After a misfire he was checking the gun when it went off and the bullet hit a youth Rinku Prajapati, resident of Dhanapur area. Rinku was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to bullet injury on the way.

The police lodge a named FIR in this connection. The accused was absconding.According to reports, an orchestra was organised in a marriage ceremony of the nephew of a local resident Dinesh Singh . Besides local natives people from nearby villages also gathered there to enjoy orchestra.During function Dinesh started celebratory firing with his gun. After a misfire he was checking the gun when it went off and the bullet hit a youth Rinku Prajapati, resident of Dhanapur area. Panic prevailed after the incident. Rinku was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to bullet injury on the way. Dinesh fled from the scene after incident.The body was sent for postmortem. Ballua SO told TOI over phone that an FIR was registered against Dinesh under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) of IPC. A manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
