RTA employee gets 3-year RI in DA case

A case under Section 13 (2), 13 (1) (e) of Prevention of Corruption Act was booked against him. Srinivasa Rao is presently working at Gajuwaka in Vizag as Assitatant Motor Vehicle Inspector. The Judge of ACB Special Court in Visakhapatnam, G. Jnana Suvarna Raju sentenced Karri Srinivasa Rao, an employee of Road Transport Authority in Vizag, to three years rigorous imprisonment and imposed ?1 lakh fine, in the disproportionate assets case. According to Vizianagaram Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Anti-Corruption Bureau SK Shakeela Bhanu, ACB officials had registered a case of disproportionate assets against the Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Karri Srinivas in Vizag DTC office in March 2003 following raids.
