The party MPs would tell the Speaker that they were firm about their decision and that their resignations should be accepted. Mr. Satyanarayana said the MPs would return from New Delhi to participate in the ‘Vanchana pai garjana’ meeting that would be held in Nellore on June 2 to highlight the ‘game being played by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the State’. The MPs would participate in the protest meeting that would take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. wearing black badges. The YSRCP would not stop the agitation until the SCS was granted to the State, he said. ‘Mahanadu a farce’ Instead of discussing the injustice being done to the State, the TDP leaders and cadre were celebrating with specially cooked meals. “The poor in the State have nothing to eat, farmers are in dire straits and youth are without jobs, but the TDP is busy boasting,” Mr. Satyanarayana said. This was, however, going to be the last Mahanadu the party was going to celebrate in power, because it completely lost its credibility by failing to fulfil the promises it made in its election manifesto, the YSR Congress leader said.
