A.P. to witness high temperature today

Vijayawada witnessed 42.8 degrees Celsius while Ongole, Nellore, Tirupathi and Kurnool recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. In the districts of Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore and Chittoor the maximum temperature may very likely be between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius. Similarly in East and West Godavari, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts, the maximum temperature will be between 41 and 43 degrees Celsius and between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. Following the India Meteorological Department’s Numerical Weather Prediction model based district level weather prediction, it said there were high chances of isolated areas in Krishna district witnessing a maximum 48 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) issued an alert on Wednesday. Following the India Meteorological Department’s Numerical Weather Prediction model based district level weather prediction, it said there were high chances of isolated areas in Krishna district witnessing a maximum 48 degrees Celsius on Thursday. In the districts of Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore and Chittoor the maximum temperature may very likely be between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius. Similarly in East and West Godavari, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts, the maximum temperature will be between 41 and 43 degrees Celsius and between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. District Collector B. Lakshmikantham asked people not to venture out between 10 am and 4 pm. In cases of emergency, people should wear caps and scarves.
