VISAKHAPATNAM: The state government on Monday issued a budget release order for an amount of Rs 5.2 crore to set up an Industrial Training Institution ( ITI ) in the residential setting in Cinamushidwada in Vizag suburbs. Some tailor-made courses will also be designed for the needs of the local industries after the launch of the ITI. Under the initiative, the Union and state governments will make coordinated efforts to improve the key performance indicators of the district.About Rs 3 crore will be spent on the construction of the ITI buildings and Rs 2 crore on the hostel buildings. The courses will be both long-term and short-term to meet the requirement of the skilled manpower of various sectors in the region. Visakhapatnam has also been included in the recently launched Aspirational Districts programme.
