Chowdary said. Addressing the inaugural of the eight-day Vizag Startup Summit 2.0 on Monday, he said taking up complex problems and finding solutions was going to the way ahead. Quoting a study, he said gamification of learning and getting -out- of-the building (GOTB) facing ‘n’ number of problems were going to be the future. Companies were preferring students with less academic qualification and with rural background because they were not conditioned and amenable for training, he said. Picking the right problem, innovation, entrepreneurship, risk-taking and staying focussed were the pre-requisites for the success of start-ups, he said. Stating that Google was engaged in 15 cities, Lead-Developer Relations- Google India, Karthik Padmanabhan underlined the importance of thinking local and acting local. Additional CEO of A. P. Information Technology Academy Winny Patro said starting on an idea late or early did not matter as long as one stayed focussed. Innovation Director, Open Innovation at NASSCOM Centre of Excellence for IoT, Raghuram Janapareddy said the centre was meant for creating entrepreneurs out of innovation. Besides in Visakhapatnam, such centres are coming up in Gujarart and Harayana. He said the centre would have hardware for testing out products of artificial intelligence or machine learning. Chairman of Vizag Start-up Summit Madhav Reddy said so far 12 start-ups were offered funding of ?50 lakh. Google Developers Group Vizag and Women Techmakers Vizag Chapter were launched at the inaugural. NASA APP Hackathon results were announced and certificates given away.
