more-in A student of first-year Intermediate has gone missing, after he was pulled into the water by a wave near Jodugulapalem Beach, while he was allegedly taking a selfie, on Tuesday evening. The missing student has been identified as one Zaid (16). According to the police and locals, three youngsters, including two brothers from Adarsh Nagar area, went to the beach on Tuesday evening. They climbed the rocks protruding from the water and were trying to take a selfie at around 4.30 pm, when a big wave reportedly sucked them into the sea. While two, including Zaid’s younger brother, somehow managed to swim back to the shore, Zaid went missing, and the police have launched a search and rescue operation, said Arilova police station Inspector Ch. Tirupathi Rao. Though the locals at the spot reportedly warned the youngsters not to stand on the boulders as the sea was rough due to high tide, the youngsters allegedly ignored the warnings.
