HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao launched a drinking water scheme funded by World Bank in Padmanabham mandal on Sunday. Taking stock: HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao inspecting the Ghat Road near Ananta Padmanabha Swamy temple, in Visakhpatnam district on Sunday. Later in the day, the HRD Minister distributed cheques to the dependants of two deceased persons as part of insurance scheme. He said the scheme was aimed at providing potable water to all the households and it was constructed at a cost of ?19 crore. “The residents of 19 villages across the mandal will be benefitted from the scheme,” the Minister said.
