Jaganmohan Reddy attacker had no VIP lounge permit, says BCAS

"The accused J Srinivas Rao had only obtained a temporary AEP (Aerodrome Entry Permit) for the period from 1st October 2018 to 30th October 2018 which gives him access only till check-in area of the departure terminal. In the area of departure there was another approval specifically for setting up a restaurant," it said.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Even as the police are yet to determine why J Srinivasa Rao, the man who allegedly stabbed YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, did what he is accused of doing, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) said on Monday that no permission was given to Fusion Foods owner and TDP leader Harshavardhan Prasad Chowdhary and the accused J Srinivasan Rao to have access to the aerodrome entry point of the Vishakhapatnam airport."The accused J Srinivas Rao had only obtained a temporary AEP (Aerodrome Entry Permit) for the period from 1st October 2018 to 30th October 2018 which gives him access only till check-in area of the departure terminal. Also, (the) restaurant was allowed to serve food only within the premises of the restaurant, not outside the allocated area for the restaurant," the BCAS said in a report on the incident."Director general (DG), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, responded via letter on November 8 to the questions raised in a letter dated October 30 by YSRCP national general secretary Vijayasai Reddy MP.
