Visakhapatnam: Twenty eight year old biker Prashant Koul is a man on a mission. Biking from Bengaluru to Muktinath in Nepal, this biker from Jammu and Kashmir has reached Visakhapatnam completing his 20-day ride of 8,000 kilometres.Driving without navigational tools, Koul, a software-tester, seeks to motivate the youth to explore India.Koul started his tour in the last week of December with a pillion rider Nadir on his Himalayan Royal Enfield bike. “On some days I would drive for 15-18 hours covering around 800 kilometres, spending the night in roadside hotels. Between Beni and Muktinath, in Mustang district, I had to drive through areas where there was no road, covered only with slippery ice or rocky patches, extreme bad weather, sub-zero temperatures and zero visibility. Without navigational tools, the locals would often advise us to follow the clouds. Finally, we reached Muktinath, situated at an altitude of 12,580 feet. This was the toughest ride of my life,” said Koul, who is also planning to tour north-east India and Myanmar this year.Koul documents, blogs and uploads videos of his travel to inspire people to look beyond career trappings and explore nature, heritage and new places. Prashant has already toured from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on his bike within two months in 2016.He is also a passionate trekker who has summited several mountain peaks.
