AP enters into MoU with Bosch to train students

At the first level, they will be trained in a basic course on vehicle systems, auto electrical systems and vehicle air-conditioning systems. As many as 5,000 students across the state will receive training every year under the project. M/s Gram Tarang, the social entrepreneur arm of Centurion University, will be the implementing partner of the project.Students will be trained in two levels. Spoke centres will be established at Srikakulam, Bobbili, Kakinada, Eluru, Tenali, Ongole, Kadapa, Dhone and Tirupati.The project will aim to improve employability among engineering, ITI, diploma and unemployed students through skill development in consultation with the industry. Hubs at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Anantapuram government ITI colleges have been proposed.

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation ( APSSDC ) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) with Bosch to an establish Automative Training Centre (ATC) in 13 districts under the Hub and Spoke model to provide industry and domain skills to students in the automotive field, across various engineering and technical institutions across the state.As part of the project, four Hub centres and 9 Spoke centres will be established, such that each district will either get a Hub or a Spoke centre. Hubs at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Anantapuram government ITI colleges have been proposed. Spoke centres will be established at Srikakulam, Bobbili, Kakinada, Eluru, Tenali, Ongole, Kadapa, Dhone and Tirupati.The project will aim to improve employability among engineering, ITI, diploma and unemployed students through skill development in consultation with the industry. Under the domain level, students will be trained in vehicle network systems, vehicle diagnostics and diesel common rail system, product working, repair and testing.Special chief secretary JSV Prasad and APSSDC MD&CEO Kritika Shukla exchanged the MoU with Venkat Ramesh, the country head of Bosch, JM Rao, Gram Tarang regional director and DN Rao, managing trustee of Centurion University. As many as 5,000 students across the state will receive training every year under the project.
