Students showcase talent at youth festival

CEO of SETVIS A. Siri said the divisional youth festival was held at Anakapalle, Paderu, Narsipatnam and Visakhapatnam. The youth festival, inaugurated by Joint Collector G. Srijana, saw some 120 contestants taking turns in presenting their talent in dance, music and drama on the stage. “Though I am not trained in any classical dance, practising Odissi folk dance form by watching videos helped me win the hearts of viewers at the divisional-level competition. It was a melange of art forms as school and college students showcased their abilities in rendering Carnatic and folk songs, performing classical danceat ‘Yuvajanotsavalu – 2017’at Y.V.S. E. Varsha Aparna, Intermediate first year student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Anakapalle, said she was glad to grab the top spot in the earlier contest (solo classical dance category) and get selected for the next level.
