DSNLU team wins Great Britain Debate

The Great Britain Debate will revolve around the themes which are the priority areas for both UK and India. Winners of the Great Britain Debate were awarded a Kindle and British Council Library membership. This was the second time on the trot that a team from DSNLU won the debate.

This was the second time on the trot that a team from DSNLU won the debate. The other finalist team was from Gitam Institute of Management comprising Salman Syed and Ashish Samarpith. Six teams from various colleges such as St Joseph’s College for Women, Andhra University, second team from DSNLU, and Myriad Academy of Foreign Languages, secured a berth in the semi-final round from a tough preliminary round, where over 30 colleges had participated. This year the competition is held in Delhi, Indore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Guwahati, Dehradun and Jaipur. The Great Britain Debate will revolve around the themes which are the priority areas for both UK and India. The Visakhapatnam debate was around the theme of ‘Cyber Security’. Winners of the Great Britain Debate were awarded a Kindle and British Council Library membership. The debate was organised by the British High Commission in partnership with the Chevening scholarships in India. While Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering hosted the debate , the support was given by Yes We Can, a youth organisation.
