Sri Chaitanya bags top 3 slots at The Hindu Academic Pentathlon

The event was organised in association with Vignan University. The wining team comprising Mahendra Chowdhary, K. Prakash Jeevan, KSN Martin, M. Sai Ashish, A. Mahaveer, E. Deepak, B. Karthik Kumar, M. Bala Vamsi, A. Mukherjee and B. Harshitha, took home medals and the glittering trophy. Incidentally, all the three top spots were won by colleges under the Sri Chaitanya group of institutions. The awards were given away by DIG Ch. Srikanth. The second spot was bagged by Chaitanya College and the third was taken by Sri Chaitanya IIT Academy (A). Over 62 teams comprising 620 students from 27 institutions participated in the event and six teams were selected for the final round after a tough preliminary encounter. The event was organised for Inter students . It was a scholastic competition covering events such as maths, physics, and chemistry quiz, elocution and performing arts. Interacting with students after the event DIG Ch. Srikanth urged them to have an in-depth understanding of the subjects. “Don’t just have a superficial understanding of any topic. Get into the depth of it by reading more on the topic or asking the teacher,” he said. The top three teams will now meet the other regional finalists at the grand finale at Vignan University, Vadlamudi, Guntur.
