Prizes given The fun-filled celebration also included games. Some of the adept dancers returned home with prizes, grabbing titles such as ‘Dandiya king’, ‘Dandiya queen’ and ‘best couple’. “Costume and quality of dance, among other parameters have been considered for presenting titles for the participants,” said Shalu Agarwal, one of the judges at the programme. President of Marwari Yuva Manch Sanjay Mittal said the proceeds of ‘Dandiya jalsa’ would be donated to a charitable cause. The association plans to invest in a battery operating car. The care will be donated to the Visakhapatnam Railway Station to help the elderly move around the platforms at the railway station.
