Noted journalist Gauri Lankesh’s death was a big shock for everyone. From Shabana Azmi to south actors like Prakash Raj, many prominent B-town celebs expressed their anger. Now music maestro AR Rahman has opposed the murder of Lankesh.

At the premiere of ‘One Heart’, AR Rahman said, "I am so sad about this. These kind of things don't happen in India. This is not my India. I want India to be progressive and kind,"

The Kannada journalist, known for her left-leaning outlook, was shot dead by unidentified men at her residence on Tuesday. Footage from CCTV cameras installed by Lankesh showed a man in a dark jacket and helmet shoot her at pointblank range. But almost three days after her death, the police have made little headway in its investigation.

Well this is what AR Rahman has to say about it, what are your views? Do let us know.
