Actor Sonu Sood, among the most active celebrities providing relief to the needy during the Covid-19 pandemic, has tested positive for the disease. He took to social media on Saturday to share the update with his fans.

"Covid - positive. Mood & spirit - super positive. Hi everyone, this is to inform you that i have tested positive this morning for covid -19 as a part of precautions i have already quarantined my self & taking utmost care , but don't worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems remember i'm always there for you all," he wrote with his message.

For the unversed, Sonu Sood has been working relentlessly since the pandemic broke out last year to help people. He arranged for transport for stranded migrant workers, and arranged medicines for patients who couldn’t access them.
Meanwhile, actor Summet Vyas and designer Manish Malhotra tested positive for coronavirus, adding to the long list of celebrities who have fallen ill during the second wave.
