Well, daddy Saif had something else in mind while naming his newborn son Taimur.
Yes, Kareena Kapoor Khan who was present at India Today Conclave 2018 with her sister Karisma, revealed that Taimur’s name was almost going to be changed to Faiz! But she refused.
It all happened when journalist Rajdeep Sardesai asked Kareena about Taimur.
She said, “Saif was ready to change his name to Faiz but I was not going to succumb to public pressure; my son is Taimur, and will grow up to be, like his name, an Iron Man one day.”
Now isn’t it interesting?
For the unversed at the time when Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor announced the name of their baby to be Taimur, fans sent out several hate messages. This became a national issue since the reference of the name ‘Taimur’ was said to be drawn by a Mogul emperor who was known to vanquished several Hindus. This reference reportedly triggered hatred so much so that Saif was thinking of changing his name lest his son becomes unpopular.
Well, kudos to Kareena for sticking on to her choice despite so much of pressure.
