Pakistan plagiarises Kareena Kapoor’s hair colour ad

The 40-second-long commercial of the brand owned by Godrej Group, shows Kareena Kapoor endorsing the Pakistani product.

It’s no news that Pakistan has many Bollywood fans and the country is influenced by our celebs and their lifestyles.

Keeping that in mind a Pakistani based beauty brand blatantly copied India’s hair colour brand BBlunt’s ad featuring Kareena Kapoor. Yes, the 40-second-long commercial of the brand owned by Godrej Group, shows Kareena Kapoor endorsing the Pakistani product.

Take a look at this photoshop disaster:

In the ad, it’s seen that instead of BBlunt Kareena is holding the Pakistani product by Olivia Intense owned by Maskatiya Industries.

Clarifying that there is Godrej has got nothing to do with Maskatiya, its business head at the Godrej Consumer Products, Sunil Kataria has issued a statement saying,

"We wish to clarify that GCPL has no business relationship with Maskatiya Industries Private Limited (Olivia cosmetics). It has been brought to our notice recently that Maskatiya Industries have copied the 'BBlunt Salon secret High Shine Crème hair colour' TVC. This seems to be a direct case of plagiarism and Godrej Consumer Products Limited condemn this act which infringes our copyrights over the said TVC. We shall be taking appropriate action against the same"

It’s not the first time Indian ad has been plagiarized for Pakistani products, earlier also a Lahore based mobile store called 'Cheema Mobile' copied Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's 'Swag Se Swagat' tune to use it in their ad which went viral.
