Salman Khan’s lawyer receives death threats, gets police protection

For those of you who don’t know, reports suggest that the actor spent a restless night in the jail and according to the jailer, he was not given any kind of special treatment.

Salman Khan has been convicted for his blackbuck poaching case and his next hearing for bail will take place on Saturday, 7th of April.

The superstar’s lawyers prepared a 51 page argument, but even before he could reach the court, the lawyer got several death threats. As the lawyer revealed to a leading tabloid,

“I am getting death threats. The message said ‘Salman Khan ka case ko chodh dijiye, warna goli maarenge.”

However, the lawyer maintained that he will continue with the case and he has been provided security by the Commissioner of Police.

Reports even state that Salman has got death threats from a local goon. The jail superintendent even confirmed this and mentioned to PTI how they might change his jail cell for security reasons. That could have been one sole reason why he was not present in the court for hearing on April 6th. Anyway.

Meanwhile, Salman will have to stay at the Jodhpur jail for another night.
