Actor Armaan Kohli arrested for assaulting girlfriend Neeru Randhawa

Based on her statement, Kohli was booked under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the IPC.

Actor Armaan Kohli has been arrested on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. A senior police officer confirmed the news.

He was arrested by Santacruz police on a complaint filed on June 4 by his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa.

Based on her statement, Kohli was booked under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the IPC.

The actor was missing since then, the official said.

According to the victim, she was in a relationship with Armaan for past three years and they used to stay together in a flat.

As per the complaint filed, the duo had an argument over some monetary issue and that's when he allegedly pushed the woman before she fell from the stairs. The accused then pulled her hair and banged her head on the floor.

Neeru has added that she suffered head and knee injuries in the incident and was admitted to a hospital by her driver.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
