Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker and other celebs, slam top stars over tweets

A small group of bollywood actors today criticised super stars Akshay kumar, Ajay devgan and others for the similar written tweets in reaction to the international pop singer, Rihanna.

Actors like swara bhaskar, Taapse and others criticized the stars for showing unity toward the Indian government. 

Earlier Rihanna had tweeted, "Why aren't we talking about this?," Post her tweet a lot of international stars voiced up for the farmers protest. Immediately social media had seen a backlash to all such tweets. 

Taapsee Pannu has been seen supporting the farmers and said one should be keen on strengthening the government.  "If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief, then it's you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become propaganda teachers for others," Taapsee wrote.

Comedian-actor Vir Das said he was amazed to see how Indians got mobilised’ over a tweet by Rihanna and Greta Thunberg. “Honestly, I do not suppose Rihanna or Greta have something greater than superficial knowledge about Indian farmers. But gotta say it is hilarious to see actually 1000’s of shaky Indian males get mobilised over a tweet, all of the whereas proclaiming how safe they’re of their policymakers,” he said.

Actor Swara Bhasker wrote on Wednesday, “Aur Bolo ‘Speak Up Bollywood, ‘Speak Up celebrities’.”

“Made in Heaven” star Arjun Mathur used the hashtags to mock celebrities for displaying an “utter lack of backbone”.

Thousands of farmers have continued to fight against the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
