Slumdog Millionaire actor, Madhur Mittal booked for alleged sexual assault

Slumdog Millionaire actor Madhur Mittal has been booked for alleged sexual assault by the Khar police. The report stated that an FIR was registered against the actor by his former girlfriend.

Slumdog Millionaire actor Madhur Mittal has been booked for alleged sexual assault by the Khar police. The report stated that an FIR was registered against the actor by his former girlfriend.

According to a report,  the actor was booked for allegedly injuring and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend on February 13. The report stated that Madhur allegedly barged into his ex-girlfriend’s residence, under alcohol influence. The victim’s lawyer, Niranjani Shetty was reported stating that her client had parted ways with Madhur two days before she was sexually assaulted. The incident took place on February 11, as per the report.

As per the victim’s lawyer, Madhur was allegedly extremely enraged. She alleged that it was a sexual attack on her client

Meanwhile, the report stated that Madhur Mittal is currently shooting in Jaipur for a web series.

Mittal has been booked under sections of the Indian Penal Code for sexual harassment, sexual assault, and molestation.

Madhur gained worldwide recognition after he played the role of Salim Malik in the 2008 Oscar-winning movie. The film won several Academy Awards and Mittal was awarded Screen Actors Guild Award for his "outstanding performance by a cast" in Slumdog Millionaire.

The actor is also well-known for his performance in the TV show Shakalaka Boom Boom and his most recent film, Million Dollar Arm.
