The Mumbai Crime branch's Crime Intelligence Unit, who is investigating the complaint filed by actor Hrithik Roshan in the Hrithik vs Kangana email case, will be issuing summons to the actor soon.

According to a report, Mumbai Crime Branch's CIU said Hrithik Roshan will be called for recording his statement in the case this week.

In 2016, Hrithik  had filed a complaint alleging that someone impersonating him was emailing actress Kangana Ranaut from a bogus email id. Kangana had then claimed that the email id was provided to her by Roshan and they had been communicating through the same email id till 2014.

In 2016, Roshan had sent a legal notice to Kangana as she had referred to him as a silly ex. Roshan had denied any kind of relationship between him and Kangana.

Kangana and Hrithik have worked in films Kites and Krish 3.

In December 2020, the case, which was earlier with the Cyber Cell of the Mumbai police, was transferred to CIU on a request made by Hrithik Roshan's lawyer.
