FIR against Rakhi Sawant and brother for alleged fraud

Rakhi Sawant and her brother, Rakesh, have landed in legal trouble after an FIR was lodged against them at Vikaspuri police station in Delhi. The case dates back to 2017.

According to a report, Shailesh Srivastava, a retired bank employee, met Rakhi's brother, Rakesh, through his friend Raj Khatri to start a business. The two decided to produce a film based on Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim's life. They also planned to open a dance institute in Vikaspuri.

Rakesh assured Shailesh that Rakhi would be a part of the institute. For the same, Rakesh and Raj took Rs 6 lakh from Shailesh and gave him a PDC of Rs 7 lakh. On reaching the bank, Shailesh found that the signatures were wrong.

The police have lodged an FIR against the three under section 420, 120 B, and 34 of IPC.

Currently, Rakhi's mother is undergoing cancer treatment at a Mumbai hospital.
