Jennifer Lopez reveals sexual harassment experience

"I haven't been abused in the way some women have. But have I been told by a director to take off my shirt and show my boobs? Yes, I have. But did I do it? No, I did not. When I did speak up, I was terrified. I remember my heart beating out of my chest, thinking, 'What did I do? This man is hiring me!’

After a lot of Hollywood actresses, singer Jennifer Lopez too spoke about her experience of sexual harassment.

Recently, in an interview to a leading daily, the superstar said that while she has not experienced some of the violence other women have been subjected to, she has been left terrified about speaking up.

She further added

"It was one of my first movies. But in my mind I knew the behaviour wasn't right. It could have gone either way for me. But I think ultimately the Bronx in me was like, 'Nah, we're not having it."

Before Lopez a lot of women came forward to speak up about their horrific experiences under #metoo campaign on social media and some even shared their assault stories in the wake of allegations made against movie maker Harvey Weinstein.
