Ranveer Singh's grandmother passes away

According to reports Ranveer even used to discuss movies with his grandmom and earlier this year in January, his girlfriend Deepika Padukone also met her.

In a shocking turn of events, Ranveer Singh's maternal grandmother (nani) has passed away. It all happened suddenly and the news of her death came with a shock to the family. The reason of her death is still not known. However, a source told that she was unwell from a long time

Ranveer Singh who was supposed to attend an event today, has cancelled it in the last moment citing his grandmother's death. The actor's team has sent a message for the cancellation saying,

"EVENT CANCELLATION - We are sorry to inform you that the Switzerland Tourism press conference with Ranveer Singh that was scheduled for today at 1.30pm at Lands End has been canceled due to the sudden demise of Ranveer Singh’s grandmother. We shall keep you posted on the revised date for the PC. We regret the inconvenience caused."

Ranveer was close to his granny and in an earlier interview he revealed that she had played a major role in the actor's upbringing and she is as important in his life as oxygen and water.

That's not all, according to reports Ranveer even used to discuss movies with her. Earlier this year in January, his girlfriend Deepika Padukone also met her.
