Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has landed in a legal trouble after Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned him in a case related to Rs 2000-crore Bitcoin scam.

According to reports, Kundra’s name cropped up when accused Amit Bharadwaj was being interrogated in the case.

Those dealing with bitcoins worth Rs 1 crore or more were recently sent notices by the Income Tax Department, and the names were also forwarded to ED.

This is not the first time Raj Kundra has been embroiled in a controversy.

His name was last involved in the infamous IPL betting scandal that led him to a life ban from all cricket-related activities.

He filed a petition in Supreme Court challenging the decision in March 2018 hoping to revoke the ban. Moreover, the IPL cricket team co-owned by Kundra, Rajasthan Royals, was also banned for two years.

A probe was then initiated for possible money laundering and fraud.

The nature of Kundra’s questioning is not yet clear. However, it is said that more names of Bollywood celebrities may crop up during further investigations.

The glitz and the glamour of the world of Entertainment are nuanced, dynamic and unpredictable.
