‘Ab Tak Chappan’ writer Ravi Shankar Alok commits suicide

The society’s watchman told the daily, “The terrace is usually locked. I don’t know how Alok gained access to the area,”

A 32-yr-old writer Ravi Shankar Alok, ended his life by jumping off from the roof of his apartment’s building at around 2 PM on Wednesday, a police official said. 

Ravi Shankar lived in Seven Bungalows area in Andheri West. He was reportedly involved in the writing of Nana Patekar-starrer ‘Ab Tak Chhappan‘. 

As per police there was no suicide note was found on his body or in his house. According to the preliminary information, he was suffering from depression and was undergoing psychiatric treatment, he said. Suburban Versova police are conducting further probe. A neighbour told a tabloid, “We rarely saw Alok. We immediately called an ambulance and the police arrived later. We didn’t know much about the resident except that he was some sort of artist. The society’s watchman told the daily, “The terrace is usually locked. I don’t know how Alok gained access to the area,”
