'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' actress Amita Udgata passed away

Amita is survived by her two children, Ruchin Udgata and Rishab Udgata. She was associated with Delhi Doordarshan from 1979 to 1990. 

Known for her popular role in ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’, the veteran TV actress Amita Udgata has passed away on Tuesday’s night due to lung failure.

The actress was admitted in CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai for the last four days and was on life support. Amita was last seen as Amma in a popular show social drama ‘Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya’.

Amita is survived by her two children, Ruchin Udgata and Rishab Udgata. She was associated with Delhi Doordarshan from 1979 to 1990.

Actress Abha Parmar, who's a good friend of Amita and has also worked with her in Rui Ka Bojh expressed her grief while speaking to a leading daily. She said, "We were more like sisters than friends. I am from Kanpur and she was from Lucknow. I wasn't aware that her condition so serious. I was supposed to visit her today. She was a great actress and a friend and we have faced life's struggles together."

The actress played Dev's dadi bua in 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi', who entered the show during the couple's  marriage preparations.

Amita's last rites will be performed on Thursday, as the family is waiting for her elder son's arrival.
