This is one of the biggest films of the year and a Diwali as a release date means that the film will get a thunderous opening. Aamir has been introducing the characters of the film one after the other for a few days now. He began with Amitabh Bachchan's Khudabaksh, moved on to Fatima Sana Shaikha's Zafira, English actor Lloyd Owen's John Clive, Katrina Kaif's Suraiyaa and at the end, he revealed his own avatar from the film. He is called Firangi here.

The trailer is filled with amazing sequences and has a larger-than-life scale which will fascinate anyone.

Today is also Yash Chopra's birthday. His last film Jab Tak Hai Jaan was a Diwali release and had Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead. Many years later, on his birth anniversary, YRF decided to release the trailer of one of the most ambitious films from the production house.

A source close to the development had revealed earlier, "Thugs of Hindostan is an incredibly special film for Adi. It is not only YRF’s biggest production but it is also the biggest film of the Indian film industry. Thugs is a visionary project. It is going to be a stand out product in terms of scale and imagination. It will match the visual scale of any big-ticket Hollywood film that audiences have seen.

Yash Chopra is a legend whose films and imagination shaped Bollywood as it stands today. He was a path-breaker, content disruptor and a true innovator. So, Adi and Aamir discussed and decided to release the trailer on the birth anniversary of the iconic film-maker Yash Chopra. It is a salute to his genius vision."
