A well known and veteran filmmaker Mohan Kumar took his last breath at 83 on Friday morning. Social activist-filmmaker, confirming his death, Ashok Pandit said, “Yes, Mohan ji is no more.”

Kumar began his Bollywood career in 1961 with Aas Ka Panchhi.
Anpadh, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Aap Ki Parchhaiyan, Anjaana, Aap Aye Bahaar Ayee, Mome Ki Gudiya, Amir Garib, Aap Beati and Avtaar among others are his known as the best remembered work. His last project was Amba (1990).
Mohan Kumar was born in 1934 in Sialkot now a part of Pakistan. After partition, the filmmaker, producer and screenwriter moved to Mumbai.
