As the 5th day of Valentine`s week approaches, couples all around are basking in love and appreciation. Every year on the 11th of February, people celebrate Promise Day. Promises are very important for healthy relationships. These promises can be meaningful and heartfelt or silly and funny, but either way, this is a day for couples to renew their vows of commitment and love for each other. In the times of pandemic, a lot more couples haven’t been able to see each other in real, with travel restrictions still in place, there is a need unlike before for these promises for a lasting relationship!

 Every long-distance relationship comes with its own set of promises, way more than in a relationship where couples get to be with each other physically. A promising day can hold a lot of meaning for our couples who live miles away in different time zones or sometimes even in the same country but hours apart.

Picnic Dates

Jazz up your regular virtual dates by taking it out in the spring sun around the blooming flowers! Set up a picnic with an array of sandwiches, cheeses and wines or with any of your ideal picnic food. Pick out some poetry books and quotes and ask your partner to do the same. Read those beautiful lines of promises and love to each other while soaking in the sun.

Write love letters

This is not a genius idea but an elaborate love confession is exactly what promise day is all about. Write to each other`s letters and mail it to them. Or just make a pdf file of your virtual love letters. And Read them to one another. The moment will make you realise how important the person on the other side of the screen is. In the end, all this is worth it for them!

Shop together

Multiple brands are coming up with exceptional gadgets for the long-distance couple. Our personal favourites are the LDR lamps and bands that connect one to another. By if you are not into clichéd things like this, you can always shop together for things you both like. Some couples might be planning to move to the place, in this case, getting new things for the house could be super exciting and promising for a happy future together!

All fictional world will make you believe that a piece of promising jewellery needs to be an expensive ring or pendant. That’s exactly what you need to scratch! Buying expensive gifts are great but they are not the only way to show your love. So do some research and get magnetic jewellery pieces that connect when someone wearing the same piece comes closer or a newly launched Hematite rings are great too!

Share a journal

This innovative activity is a great way to be patient. Each partner gets to keep a journal for a few months (we suggest 3). After that set time the partners will exchange these and update the ones they received. The journal needs to be filled with affirmations and promises or even ideas for how you want the future to look like! This will keep the longing alive along with the surprise and suspense for what the partner is manifesting!
