PM Modi asks Tripura MLAs to work for state's development

Agartala: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to all the ministers and legislators of Tripura in a tele-conference and advised them to work for the development of the state on the occasion of completion of the first month of the BJP-led government. BJP legislator Sushanta Choudhury said that the PM reiterated the schemes and programs of the central government meant for different sections of society. "We were informed earlier that the PM may call us on our mobile and we were prepared for it. When the call got connected, he started praising the performance of the government and legislators of the state," he added.The PM mentioned about Fasal Bima Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Krishi Sinchai Yojana and Kushal Vikash Yojana and sought cooperation form all the MLAs to implement these in the state successfully. He also sought suggestions from the MLAs how to usher in development in the state."The Prime Minister will talk to MPs and MLAs of the country periodically and the next interaction is scheduled on April 26. We can interact with him on PM App to be downloaded on the mobile. The PM said MPs and MLAs can talk to him over any problem they face in their respective areas," said govt chief whip Kalayani Roy.Choudhury added, "After getting elected, the CM, on several occasions, has advised us to have interactions at least twice in a week in our respective constituencies. We have learnt about the schemes and programs from the CM and he has asked us to keep track of implementation of central schemes and listen to people. We are trying to interact with each and every citizen of the constituency and send regular feedback to the CM," he said."The PM's call is of special significance.
