Tripura woman gives birth to a healthy child in Bangladesh amid COVID 19 lockdown

AGARTALA: The BSF, revenue intelligence and Tripura Police on Thursday seized about 3350 kg of dry cannabis , worth Rs 1.87 crore, in a 16-hour joint operation.This is the biggest ever seizure of dry cannabis in the state. The family was in practice of keeping dry cannabis leaves in plastic containers under about five feet underground. DIG BSF Kailash Chand said the family has been engaged in illegal smuggling near the border for a long time. Based on intelligence inputs, the operation was launched on Tuesday night with special drug detector machines in the village. The contraband was found in containers buried underground at Kamalnagar village of Sonamura under Sepahijala district of West Tripura.Police said two brothers - Dilwar Hussein and Ali Hussein - have been arrested in connection with the case.
