Tripura ONGC suspends five for sexually harassing employee

AGARTALA: The vice-president of ONGC Tripura Power Company (OTPC) and four other officials, including the plant in charge, were suspended on Wednesday after they were accused of sexual harassment by a former employee. "Following the allegations, managing director Satyajit Ganguly sent all five employees on forced leave and initiated a high-level internal inquiry," an OTPC official said. They have been asked to leave the OTPC Complex immediately, but police have asked them not to leave the state.A five-member committee, led by a woman officer of the OTPC, is also investigating the matter.
