Startup India created 4000 new jobs: Biplab Deb

AGARTALA: The Startup India scheme has generated employment for nearly 4,000 people in the state, with 820 candidates registered with the scheme, chief minister Biplab Deb said here on Thursday. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Startup India scheme as a national flagship project to encourage entrepreneurship and self-employment ... During the Left regime, youths of Tripura had to sit on a dharna, stage rallies and attend political meetings to get jobs. Those days are behind us," Deb said.
