They also indicated that their party was ready to fight and ensure victories in both the seats but bought time to convince IPFT.Meanwhile, AICC observer and former chief minister of Goa Luizinho Faleiro is slated to arrive in the city on Sunday to hold a meeting with the party's office-bearers in order to chalk out poll strategy and discuss deployment of manpower for their campaign work.Congress president Rahul Gandhi too is scheduled to address an election rally on March 20 in Khumlung, headquarter of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), leading to rejuvenated approach from the workers. General secretary of the tribal based opposition party, INPT, Jagadish Debbarma has hinted that the Congress and INPT could form an alliance to fight the upcoming general elections together.In a meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) held on Friday night, senior INPT leaders discussed the issue but remained indecisive, said Debbarma, before adding that another round of meeting with the Pradesh Congress leaders will take place on Sunday."There will be formal talks over the alliance during the meeting, though there is a natural understanding between Congress and INPT," he maintained.Meanwhile, BJP's coalition partner in the state government, IPFT, reiterated on Saturday that it will field their candidate separately in East Tripura, which is a reserved seat.
