A senior faculty member of Agartala Government Medical College said, “The recovery rate was only 60% on September 12 and it has climbed to 73% on September 23, while the positivity rate remained at 6.34%. Most of the patients in Tripura are asymptomatic. Because of maximum testing, the positive rate here is low, which is good in a sense that we could identify more infected people and isolate them.”
He also said ”Whatever medicines are given to Covid patients are intended to prevent secondary bacterial infection and Covid patients recover by gaining immunity against the virus”.
