3 unnatural deaths recorded in Tripura in 24 hours

Three cases of unnatural death were reported in Tripura during the past 24 hours. In one incident Swarnali Das, a first-year medical student on Thursday committed suicide at Kalyanpur in Khowai district. The police recovered the victim's body from her residence at Kamal Nagar of Kalyanpur. The victim, Vivesh Debbarma's body was found hanging in an unnatural position as his feet reportedly touched the ground. The mother of the victim along with his neighbours identified the youth after his body was spotted by locals.

Three cases of unnatural death were reported in Tripura during the past 24 hours. In one incident Swarnali Das, a first-year medical student on Thursday committed suicide at Kalyanpur in Khowai district. The police recovered the victims body from her residence at Kamal Nagar of Kalyanpur. A student of the Agartala Government Medical College, Swarnali had gone home during the Makar Sankranti holidays. Investigations into the suicide are underway and the police suspect that family related problems or love affair may be the reason behind her death. Also read: Tripura: Copies of three controversial farm laws burnt in Agartala streets In another incident, police on Thursday recovered the body of a youth from Khumulwng, which is situated at a distance of 45 km from Agartala. The victim, Vivesh Debbarmas body was found hanging in an unnatural position as his feet reportedly touched the ground. The mother of the victim along with his neighbours identified the youth after his body was spotted by locals. Radhapur police have started an investigation and sent his body for an autopsy, the report for which is awaited. In the third incident, a housewife was murdered at Kalachari area of Kamalpur in Dhalai district on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Anita Kanda. According to sources, her husband Amrit Kanda had reportedly murdered her. Locals had rushed to the victims house after hearing sounds and cries coming from its direction. They found Anita lying on the floor and bleeding profusely from her head. Although they took her to the hospital, doctors there pronounced her brought dead. Police meanwhile, arrested the husband. Police officials suspected that the murder took place due to problems existing between the couple.
