CPI M leaders gherao police headquarters in Tripura

CPI(M) leaders on Tuesday gheraoed the police headquarters at Agartala, protesting against the frequent attacks on its party leaders, supporters, workers and party offices across Tripura.
CPIM leaders and workers assembled in front of the police headquarters and staged a protest that continued for about an hour and a half.
Miscreants had attacked CPI(M) MP Jhanra Das Baidya and Congress state president Pijush Biswas on January 17.

He said, “We have come to the police headquarter today to ask the police how long this terror will continue.”Later senior police officials spoke to the CPI(M) leaders and assured them of action against the accused.
