Tripura Sacked teachers protest against police atrocities in Agartala
| Monday | 15th February, 2021
Sacked teachers of Tripura on Monday organized a protest rally in front of the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala against the atrocities inflicted on them by the police in January.
About 10323 teachers of Tripura had lost their jobs in March last year after the Supreme Court termed their recruitment process faulty.
They have been camping in Agartala since December 7 last year, demanding the state government to provide them with employment.
The police forcefully removed these protesting teachers from their site of protest on the morning of January 27.
However, BJP MLA Dilip Das, who is a doctor, pressurized other doctors to release the injured teachers, which was inhuman,” said Dalia Das who is leading the teachers' protest.
