Tripura to release 3 DA to employees and pensioners on March 1

The Tripura government has decided to release three per cent pending dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees and pensioners in the next month. Education minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday told reporters in Agartala that the Cabinet has decided to release the DA to employees and pensioners on March 1. Nath said that 1, 90504 state government employees and pensioners will get their 3 per cent DA. Minister Nath said that no state in India had paid a DA during the Covid pandemic situation. The minister also claimed that Tripura has set an example to other states in this regard.

Nath said that 1, 90504 state government employees and pensioners will get their 3 per cent DA. He said that the government will spend Rs 320 crore in a year for this. Minister Nath said that no state in India had paid a DA during the Covid pandemic situation. He said that from January 2020 to July this year, the central government has frozen the DA. The minister also claimed that Tripura has set an example to other states in this regard.
