Tripura: Congress alliance call to defeat Left Front , BJP in polls

AGARTALA: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee has announced an intention to forge an alliance to take on both the Left Front and the BJP in the next assembly elections.Saying both the BJP and the CPM are "equally dangerous for the country", Congress legislative party leader Gopal Roy said on Monday a "grand alliance" of the Congress, the Trinamool Congress and indigenous-based political parties is "the only alternative" to them.Roy said, "We are thinking of uniting Trinamool Congress and other indigenous political parties against CPM and BJP in the coming elections.
