Stone pelters target Vande Bharat Express again

AGRA: The Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express was damaged by stone pelters on Monday afternoon, the sixth such incident since its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi five months ago.The train was on its way from Delhi to Bhopal when it was pelted with stones near Okhla railway station in Mathura district which caused cracks in the windowpanes of two coaches, C-5 and E-1. Terrified passengers reported the incident to the Railway Protection Force (RPF). Prashasti Srivastava, PRO of Agra railway division, said, No one got hurt. The matter is being investigated. A case has been registered by the RPF Kosikalan station against unknown persons. The damaged glasses were temporarily fixed when the train reached Agra Cantt railway station. According to sources, 40 windowpanes and door glass on the premium train have been replaced in the last five months. The majority of the stone-pelting incidents took place on the route from Delhi to Agra. TNN
